Cat Matt is the founder of Comedy by the Beach and the
Crackers of Comedy. He began working in music promotions
in 2001 in Columbus, Ohio, and has taken his experience in
event marketing to the world of comedy in 2007.
In
January of 2009 Comedy by the Beach joined forces with the Justice
League of Comedy
to
bring the largest co-operative group of Stand-Up Comics in
SE North Carolina.
While Matt helps produce and promote
comedy shows all over the Carolinas, he is also a Stand-Up
Comic himself.
Since May of 2007 Super Cat Matt
has performed in front of audiences in
North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Colorado and
New York. He has accumulated over an hour and a
half of material and covers topics appropriate for college students,
parents, and children alike.
 King Rich
Warren is the founder of The Justice
League of Comedy. Together with Matt Ward he helps
book and run the Comedy by the Beach and Justice League of
Comedy events all over the Southeast United
States.
While helping Matt put on the most stand-up
comedy shows in Eastern North Carolina, King Rich has still
found time to perform as a stand-up comedian as
well.
King Rich Warren has had one of the most non-traditional careers a performer could possibly have. He spent the first several years of his career living out of a beat up 1988 Nissan Sentra while traveling the United States staging everything from improvisational comedy shows to Shakespeare. His introduction to comedy came in the early '90s as a performer and emcee with Naked Comedy in Las Vegas. Later he would form his own theatrical company and continue to stage plays throughout the Southwest while also writing and directing TV commercials for McAlister Television. In 2004 he formed Baby Hippopotamus Productions in New York City and has since written and performed in productions of She Said Maybe, Abnormal Stew, Weasel Erotica and the Midtown International Theatre Festival selection The Broken Jump. Television appearances include episodes of Forensic Files, a Telly Award winning episode of The New Detectives and Sex & the City. Film credits include Manuel B. Ramirez III's recently released feature Six, The Interrogation (Zanadune Productions), The Professor's Ghost (Ginseng Films), From the Left, Uncivil Union and Jazzmyn Bank's upcoming feature Playing Doctor. While developing his own one-man show, King discovered the world of stand-up comedy and, being one to never shy away from a challenge, began to venture away from the world of independent theatre and deep into the world of the comic.
